Alongside subtitling and captioning contemporary movies and TV shows, Subtext Berlin is an avid contributor to the German film heritage programme and its digitisation of films of particular historical value from the archives belonging to the Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau Foundation, Deutsche Kinemathek, German Film Museum (DFF) and others. As part of the digitisation process, we have provided subtitles and barrier-free versions for numerous short films and features, many of which have been subtitled in foreign languages for the very first time.
